Wick Support
New to Wick? It is a water eject app for iPhone.
How Wick works
If your iPhone speaker sounds muffled after getting wet, open Wick and tap Clean & measure. Wick plays a reference tone and measures your speaker, then plays a low-frequency tone (165 Hz in Standard mode) to help move water near the speaker opening, then measures again so you can compare before and after. Turn your volume up and use the built-in speaker (not headphones). Wick warns you when your volume is low or audio is routed away from the iPhone speaker. The reading depends on your surroundings and phone position and does not diagnose damage.
Frequently asked questions
My speaker still sounds muffled
Check that audio is playing through your iPhone speaker, not connected headphones. If the phone may still be wet, follow the safe drying steps before trying another clean. Sound may help clear water near the speaker opening, but it cannot repair hardware damage or remove water from inside your device.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Wick, tap Unlock all modes, then Restore purchase. Your one-time unlock is tied to your Apple ID and restores for free on any device.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
Is the microphone recording me?
No. Wick uses the microphone only to compare sound levels before and after a clean. Microphone audio is processed on your device and is not saved or uploaded. Wick does use anonymous, privacy-focused analytics (PostHog) and Google Firebase (crash reporting, analytics, push) to improve the app. See our Privacy Policy.
What do the premium modes do?
Deep Purge plays a sweeping 100–300 Hz tone for another eject pattern. Earbud Mode plays a separate 200–400 Hz tone pattern for connected wireless earbuds. Speaker Test plays a 20 Hz–20 kHz sweep with a live frequency readout. Your first Clean & measure is free; unlimited runs and the extra modes come with Wick Full, a single one-time purchase with no subscription.
Why did my reading not change?
Wick shows the before and after readings side by side, including when there is no meaningful change. Readings depend on background noise and how you hold the phone, and they are not a diagnosis of the speaker. If the speaker still sounds muffled, let the phone dry longer and listen for yourself.
